Freemasons will host interactive murder mystery
FREEHOLD — An interactive murder mystery performance is coming to Freehold Borough on Nov. 10. The performance will be hosted by the Freehold Borough Freemasons at their Olive Branch Lodge No. 16, 2 Dutch Lane Road.
“Houdini, Who Done It?” will be performed by the Riddlesbrood Touring Theatre Company, which is based in New York.
“My family and I have seen many performances by the Riddlesbrood Touring Theatre Company and we are really big fans,” Freemason Al Barbato said. “I could think of nothing more exciting than to bring this group to Freehold Borough so close to Halloween. The fact that Harry Houdini himself was a brother Freemason will make the show that much more fun.”
The Riddlesbrood Touring Theatre Company performs at hotels, restaurants, banquet facilities and at private parties. The company’s original material is designed to appeal to a wide audience.
“Hosting Riddlesbrood is just one of the ways Olive Branch Lodge No. 16 is again opening our doors to the community,” Barbato said. “Many residents are familiar with our charitable work in the organization, but few remember the social role our lodge played in the fabric of Freehold society.
“From our monthly bottomless spaghetti dinners to our sizable presence in Freehold’s Memorial Day parade, the Freemasons have always been a cornerstone of the community. Now with our recent surge in membership, we again find ourselves in a position to revive many of our social connections to Freehold,” he said.
Tickets for the Nov. 10 event are $50 per person and include the theatrical performance, a full meal, and DJ karaoke. For tickets, call Al Barbato at 917-578-5418 or visit www.olivebranchlodge.org.
