Friend of Youth Open scheduled for Aug. 9
      The Sunrise Optimist Club of Freehold will host the 26th annual Optimist Friend of Youth Open on Aug. 9 at Knob Hill Golf Club in Manalapan. All proceeds from this annual event directly support Camp Quality New Jersey, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides a free week-long camping experience and yearround support of other fun activities for children who are battling cancer.

MAC Cabaret Night will feature 20 singers
      The Manalapan Arts Council will present its third annual Cabaret Night at 7:30 p.m. July 31 at the Knob Hill Country Club, Route 33, Manalapan. The evening will feature dinner and entertainment by an array of more than 20 singers performing hit songs from the 1950s through today. The cost to attend is $35 and includes a four-course dinner. A cash bar will be available.
