Eight seek seats in Freehold Township FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — Eight residents have filed nominating petitions and will run for three available three-year terms on the Freehold Township K-8 School District Board of Education in the April 20 election. The terms of board members Mindy Wille, Stephen Buffett and Daniel DiBlasio are ending. Wille is currently serving as the board president. All three incumbents, Wille, Buffett and DiBlasio, are seeking re-election. The other candidates seeking a term on the school board are Vincent Bruno, Danny Neron, Stephanie Samuels, Bonnie Paasch (Eng) and Dr. Gerry Gorman. School officials said a tentative budget for the 2010-11 school year may be introduced on March 23 at a board meeting to be held at the Marshall W. Errickson School, Elton-Adelphia Road. A public hearing on the school budget will be held at 8 p.m. March 31 at the Freehold Township Board of Education offices, Stillwells Corner Road. Budget presentations will be held at 7 p.m. April 14 at the Barkalow Middle School and at 7 p.m. April 15 at the Eisenhower Middle School. The school board election and budget vote is April 20. Polls will be open on Election Day from 3-9 p.m. |
