           The Feb. 3 News Transcript article “Women Hope to Inspire Children To Eat Healthy” may mislead consumers about high fructose corn syrup. High fructose corn syrup is simply a kind of corn sugar. It has the same number of calories as sugar and is handled the same by the body.

      Teachers’ new deal in Marlboro is shocking
           Unbelievable would be putting it mildly. With the economy in recession and both the state and municipalities hurting and having to take some extreme steps in order to curtail spending, the Marlboro K-8 School District Board of Education and the Marlboro Township Education Association seem to be oblivious to what is going on in the real world.

      Attendees’ plan was to disrupt congressman’s meeting
           On Jan. 25 a town meeting was held in the Marlboro Middle School. As I approached the parking area I saw a van parked in an unlit area with people coming out wearing “Tea Party” T-shirts. When I entered the auditorium I saw that the first five rows were occupied by “Tea Party” people, none of whom were Marlboro residents.
