School chess players team up for success

      MANALAPAN — The game of chess is a one-on-one battle of brains and strategy. When two sixth-graders from Pine Brook School entered the International Chess Academy’s New Jersey State Grade Championship, the boys had no knowledge of each other’s plan to participate. The chess tournament was held on the campus of Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, on Nov. 22.
