            Mr. Lembitz, 78, of Highlands, died Dec. 1, 2009, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. He was the chairman of the board of Beverage America Inc., Highlands, for 24 years. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Biding- Brauereiag of American Frankfurt Operations, and president of Canada Dry, Metro Division, Queens, N.Y. He is survived by his wife, Anna M.

            Mr. Oakley, 44, of Howell, and formerly of Marlboro, died Dec. 1, 2009, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He owned and operated HOE Excavating Co. Mr. Oakley was a graduate of Marlboro High School, class of 1983, and a member of the Shore Builders Association.

      Walter Luzler
            Mr. Luzler, 91, of Middletown, died Dec. 1, 2009, in Red Bank. He was an agent at Aetna Life Insurance Co., retiring in 1990. Prior to that, Mr. Luzler owned Waldot Music Studios, and toured the country when he was a teenager as a virtuoso accordionist with the Major Bowes Amateur Show in the 1920s. He was predeceased by his partner, Sophie Morris.

            Mr. Strauss, 96, of Freehold, died Dec. 1, 2009, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Germany, he came to the United States with his wife and son in 1954. Mr. Strauss was predeceased by his wife, Emma, in 2004.

      Michael Douglas Horowitz
            Mr. Horowitz, 48, of Manalapan, died Dec. 2, 2009, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, after a long battle with cancer. He had lived in Matawan before moving to Manalapan 14 years ago. Mr. Horowitz was business development manager for 15 years with Paragon Computer Professionals of Cranford.

            Mr. Stout, 79, of Howell, died Dec. 3, 2009, at home. He was a retail sales supervisor for the Monmouth County Park System from 1982 until his retirement in 2001. Prior to that, he worked in the sales department at Suburban Propane, Howell, from 1952-83. He was also banquet manager at Mary's Catering, Belmar, for many years.

      Kenneth "Kenny" John Booth
            Mr. Booth, 61, of Freehold Township, died Dec. 4, 2009, at the John L. Montgomery Care Center, Freehold, where he received care for the past three years. A lifelong Long Branch resident, he was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. Mr. Booth was a sales associate for Kmart, Long Branch and East Brunswick, retiring in 2003 after more than 30 years of service.

            Mr. Gunther, 79, of Farmingdale, died Dec. 9, 2009, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. A U.S. Army veteran, he was the owner of Bob & Sue Gunther Contractors, Farmingdale. Mr. Gunther was a life member of the Howell Elks. Surviving are his wife, Suzanne; two daughters, Connie Bowden of Blacksburg, Va.

He was a mechanical engineer with Thomas & Betts Company for 30 years, where he held several patents. After retiring, he worked as an engineer at the Lakehurst Naval Air Station.
