      Dealership rallies support for teen

      FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — The employees at Freehold Chrysler Jeep, Route 9, are pitching in to help a girl who is battling a rare type of cancer.

      Kristin DeMauro, of Hazlet, is a family friend of Diane Minervini, who is the general manager of Freehold Chrysler Jeep.

      Minervini said Kristin, who is a freshman at Raritan High School, Hazlet, has been battling Stage 3 dysgerminoma, an extremely rare form of cancer which the young woman was diagnosed with about four months ago.

      Minervini, who also lives in Hazlet, said, "I am a very good friend of the family and we are all trying to do whatever we can to help them in their very difficult time."

      Minervini said that for every Hazlet resident who purchases a vehicle at Freehold Chrysler Jeep, or any Hazlet referral to the dealership in the month of December, Freehold Chrysler Jeep will donate $100 to the Kristin DeMauro Trust Fund."

      "Whether it is a new or used vehicle, we will donate $100 per vehicle sold with a voucher. At the end of the month, we will send a check to the Kristin De Mauro Trust Fund.
