      Full debate needed about MTMUA's future
            I had hoped for a separation of power as a result of the Marlboro Township Council election. Coincidentally, my concerns about a potential sweep by the current administration were brought to bear by the subsequent obvious quickie partisan move by the Democrat dominated council.

            I read a Nov. 11 News Transcript letter to the editor, "Resident Has Doubts About Effectiveness of Local Teachers," in which the writer alleges, "Marlboro's elementary school and middle school teachers are not providing the highest quality education to our children.

      Consider rescuing a dog from a shelter when you are seeking a pet
            Recently I have become aware of pet stores still opening in Monmouth County even when others have closed their doors for good. How can pet stores continue to open in this area in light of all the recent publicity that puppy mills have been given? Hasn't anyone seen Oprah? Her show recognized that despite their claims, most dogs sold in pet stores are from puppy mills.
