      Youth Chorale will present holiday events
            The Concordia Youth Chorale will present the American premiere of "I'll Make Me a World" by Anthony Hedges, and carol settings for soloists and for choir, 4 p.m. Dec. 6 at Middletown United Methodist Church, 924 Middletown-Lincroft Road. The concert is free, and a free-will offering will be collected.

      Christmas trees, gifts sought for military
            Crossroads Assembly of God Church, 7 Main St., Englishtown, is seek donations of artificial Christmas trees, lights, ornaments and decorations, tinsel and garland as part of its "Operation Christmas Tree!" drive. The donations will be delivered via military sleds to the troops overseas and to military families in New Jersey.

      Humanitarian Award submissions sought
            The Jersey Shore Chapter of the American Conference on Diversity, New Brunswick, is seeking nominees for its Humanitarian Award. The deadline for submission is Dec. 4. The award will be presented April 29 at the organization's annual awards reception.

      Hospital auxiliary slates trip to A.C.
            The CentraState Medical Center Auxiliary will host a Christmas day trip to the Trump Marina Hotel in Atlantic City on Dec. 25. The cost of $30 includes $25 back in cash plus $5 for food. No one under age 21 will be allowed on the trip.

      Holiday concert Dec. 6 in Manalapan
            The Manalapan Arts Council will present a concert by the Manalapan Symphony Orchestra, conducted by musical director Michael Avagliano, at 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at Manalapan Englishtown Middle School, 155 Millhurst Road, Manalapan. The performance, titled "Champagne Pops!," will include a mix of classic favorites, from Rossini overtures to Strauss waltzes.

New, unwrapped toys may be brought to the post to be distributed locally. Unwanted coats are also needed and may be brought in for distribution to people in need.
