Holiday concert Dec. 6 in Manalapan
      The Manalapan Arts Council will present a concert by the Manalapan Symphony Orchestra, conducted by musical director Michael Avagliano, at 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at Manalapan Englishtown Middle School, 155 Millhurst Road, Manalapan. The performance, titled "Champagne Pops!," will include a mix of classic favorites, from Rossini overtures to Strauss waltzes.

Christmas trees, gifts sought for military
      Crossroads Assembly of God Church, 7 Main St., Englishtown, is seek donations of artificial Christmas trees, lights, ornaments and decorations, tinsel and garland as part of its "Operation Christmas Tree!" drive. The donations will be delivered via military sleds to the troops overseas and to military families in New Jersey.

Annual Harvest Dance fundraiser slated
      The Joshua Harr Shane Foundation (JHSF) will host its third annual Harvest Dance on Nov. 19 at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge. The evening's festivities will include a silent auction, a live auction, prizes, raffles, cocktails, a three-course dinner, dancing, and music by Freehold-based Mission Dance.

      In an effort to help the Samaritan Center meet increasing demands for assistance, Manalapan Township will conduct an ongoing food drive. Christmas story set on church grounds
      The 26th annual A Drive Through the Christmas Story, an outdoor display of 10 life-size Bible scenes including live costumed characters, animals and holiday music, will be presented 7:30-9:30 p.m. Mondays-Fridays and 5-9:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, Nov. 27-Dec. 6, on the circular grounds of Sayre Woods Bible Church, Route 9 south, Old Bridge.

Gently used coats may be dropped off at the Manalapan Township municipal building, 120 Route 522 (corner of Taylors Mills Road) in the Administration office. Coats will be collected until Dec. 11.
