Plans will be made to hold Freehold Volunteer Fair in 2010

Due to the vagaries of Mother Nature, the Freehold Borough Community Information Committee had to twice cancel a scheduled inaugural Freehold Volunteer Fair.

It is our intention to ensure that next year's volunteer fair will raise awareness among the public of the many volunteer opportunities that exist in Freehold between borough commissions, committees and other civic-minded organizations that serve our community.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the mayor and Borough Council and all of the people who were going to participate in the volunteer fair for their support for this event.

We will reconvene and plan to host the volunteer fair in 2010. If the weather cooperates with us even half as much as the community has, it will be a great annual event!

Despite the cancellation, we remain committed to our goal of increasing volunteerism in Freehold Borough. In this regard, we are currently working on several other projects that we are very excited to share with the community in due course.
