Libraries will host charity book drive

The Monmouth County Library will launch its annual Books for Kids book donation drive on Nov. 1. Books for preschoolers through age 14 will be accepted through Dec. 1 at any county library branch. The books will be distributed to local charities and community agencies that serve children with limited access to books.

Started in 1991, Books for Kids is a statewide program sponsored by the New Jersey Library Association's Children's Services Section. Each year, with the help of over 200 libraries, thousands of books are distributed to children across the state. Last year more than 600 Monmouth County children were given the thrill of reading the first book of their very own. Details: 732-431- 7226.
