      Katherine Leschak
            Mrs. Leschak, 82, of Brooklyn, N.Y., who has family in Monmouth and Mercer counties, died Sept. 3, 2009, at Staten Island University Hospital, Staten Island, N.Y. A homemaker, Mrs. Leschak was born in Kremna, Czechoslovakia. Her husband, Peter, died in 1988.

      William S. Van Benthuysen
            Mr. Van Benthuysen, 67, of Farmingdale, died Sept. 3, 2009, at Ocean Medical Center at Brick. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during Vietnam. Mr. Van Benthuysen received an electrical engineering degree from Trenton State College and worked at the Lakehurst Naval Base for more than 20 years.

      Charles Branley
            Mr. Branley, 84, a resident of Manalapan since 2005, died Sept. 8, 2009, at The Manor, Freehold Township. A U.S. Marine Corps Veteran serving in World War II from 1942 to 1946, he was an electrical engineer for The Bendix- Honeywell Corp., Teterboro, retiring in 1990. Mr. Branley was a Ham Radio Operator, call sign WA2EQS.

            Mrs. Pavel, 89, of Freehold Township, died Sept. 11, 2009, at home. She was a cafeteria worker at Freehold High School and later Freehold Township High School before her retirement 22 years ago. Prior to that she was employed at Westinghouse, Kearny. Mrs. Pavel was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold, and a member of Seniors First. Her husband, Edward J.

            Mrs. Tirpak, 79, of Freehold Township, died Sept. 5, 2009, at home. She was born in Treschow, Pa., and was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Freehold.

      William "Bill" P. Dwyer
            Mr. Dwyer, 57, of Freehold Township, died Sept. 6, 2009, at home. He was born in East Orange and was raised and had lived in Union and Linden before moving to Freehold Township in 1995. Mr. Dwyer was a network technician for Verizon in Union and Freehold for the past 38 years. He was a member and former grand master of the Atlas Pythagoras Lodge No. 10 F & AM, Westfield.

      Beatrice Hulse Tymesko
            Mrs. Tymesko, 75, of Freehold, died Sept. 7, 2009, at home. She was raised and lived in Freehold, Jackson and Howell before settling back to Freehold in 1999. Mrs. Tymesko was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling by RV, seeing more than 45 states in 30 years. She was predeceased by four brothers, Robert, John, Bill and Ed; and two sisters, Dorothy and Marge.

      Pearl Elizabeth Zbranak
            Mrs. Zbranak, 97, of Freehold Township, died Sept. 7, 2009, at The Manor, Freehold Township. Her husband, John P. Zbranak, died in 1973; a daughter, Caroline Ferrell, died in 1998; and a grandson, Thomas Ferrell, died in 2007. Surviving are a grandson; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

      Helen Dolny
            Mrs. Dolny, 91, of the Villages, Howell, died Sept. 8, 2009, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was a trading clerk with Merrill-Lynch, New York City, for more than 20 years, retiring in 1980. Mrs. Dolny was a member of the Women's Club, Howell Friendship Club and the CentraState Medical Center Auxiliary, all at The Villages.
