      Teen suicide will be discussed on Oct. 1
            The Manalapan-Englishtown Alliance to Prevent Alcohol and Drug Abuse is hosting a workshop titled "Signs of Suicide." This event is designed to educate the public about the epidemic of teen suicide, recognizing the warning signs and the best way to react and get help.

      Freehold officials take issue with report from Alliance
            We received the "report" issued by Frank Argote-Freyre and the Latino Leadership Alliance (LLA), Casa Freehold and the New Jersey Immigration Policy Network (NJIPN) alleging that Freehold Borough and its police selectively enforce ordinances that impact the Latino community. These allegations and the report are disingenuous at best.

      Writer wants mayor to examine board member's actions
            As a follow-up to my comments at the Marlboro Planning Board meeting of Sept. 3, I wish to make certain that Marlboro Mayor Jonathan Hornik is aware of the matter that I spoke of and hope he will take immediate action denouncing the behavior of one of his appointees.
