Vendors sought for craft/vendor fair
      The Aldrich School PTO will hold its annual Craft and Vendor Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Aldrich Elementary School, 615 Aldrich Road, Howell. The fair will feature specialty crafters and vendors, performances by local school groups, baked goods and refreshments. Admission is free for this event.

      Borders in Freehold Raceway Mall, Freehold Township, is hosting a book drive now through Sept. 7 to benefit local children. The store will collect new children's books purchased by customers and provide them to the Pediatric and Family Services Unit at Centrastate Medical Center.

Holiday Express hosts charity Clambake
      The second annual Holiday Express Sunset Clambake will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 13 at McLoone's Pier House on the beach in Long Branch. The cost is $200 per guest and includes an open bar and a lavish buffet including lobster, filet and raw bar. The Holiday Express Band will provide the entertainment. Attire is casual — shorts, sundresses and sandals.

4-H will host Creative Arts Camp in Freehold
      Youths in grades K-12 who want to enjoy the outdoors while learning more about different types of creative arts are welcome to attend the sixth annual Monmouth County 4-H Arts Camp being offered Aug. 28-30 at Camp Nomoco in Freehold Township. The camp is open to 4-H club members and youth new to 4-H. Activities will include dancing, acting, drawing, writing and more.
