      Joseph R. Puorro
            Mr. Puorro, 78, of Brick Township and formerly of Manalapan, died July 9, 2009, at home. A veteran of the Koran War, he retired from the Newark Fire Department as a chief dispatcher after 28 years. Mr. Puorro later worked for the township of Manalapan for 17 years.

      William J. Carney
            Mr. Carney, 76, of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, died July 9, 2009, at University Medical Center at Princeton. Before his retirement, Mr. Carney was a federal agent with the Department of Commerce Division of Criminal Investigation, New York City. He was predeceased by a son, James Carney. He is survived by his wife, Carol A.

      Anne Dorfman
            Mrs. Dorfman, 88, a resident of Manalapan since 1980, died July 18, 2009, at home. She was an administrative assistant at Queens General Hospital for 10 years. Her husband, Sam, died in 2004. Surviving are her children, Jeffrey Dorfman of Vienna, Va., and Marilyn Winkler and her husband, Bruce, of Princeton Junction; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

      Goldie Emma Wilson Parenteau
            Mrs. Parenteau, 82, a lifelong resident of Freehold Township, died July 8, 2009, at home. She was a loomer at the A&M Karagheusian rug mill, Freehold, and later was a school bus driver for the Freehold Township Board of Education for over 41 years, retiring in 1998. Her brother, Joe Wilson, died in 2000. Mrs.

      Dennis Pochmerski
            Mr. Pochmerski, 92, a resident of Freehold Township for more than 50 years, died July 12, 2009, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He retired from Fort Monmouth in 1977 and was a lifelong member of the American Radio Relay League — WA2DWV. Mr. Pochmerski was predeceased by a daughter, Leona Tynan.

      Anita P. Hancock
            Ms. Hancock, 60, of Freehold Township, died July 13, 2009, at home after a short illness. She was a court clerk for Passaic County retiring in 1998. Ms. Hancock was predeceased by her parents, Edward J. and Elizabeth Hancock. Surviving are two brothers and their spouses, Edward D. and Alicia Hancock of Howell, and William D. and Cheryl Hancock of Wayne; and three nieces.
