      Newspaper needs to do a better job of following up on stories
            I read the response from the Freehold Borough governing body, chief of police and PBA of Freehold Borough ("Readers Are Owed Responsible Reporting and Commentary," News Transcript, July 1) and it really raises a lot of questions for me for the News Transcript.

      New members need help to make changes in district

      Naming bridge for war hero is an appropriate action
            This is why naming the bridge on Route 9 over county Route 522 in Freehold Township for Cpl. P.A. Reynolds is the most appropriate, patriotic and right thing to do to honor a hero of the Korean War. He was a true Korean War casualty and sacrificed and gave his life while saving the lives of the Marines in his squad and was awarded the Silver Star for his heroic actions.
