Morganville church plans golf outing
      The eighth annual Don Marvel Charity Golf Outing will be held Oct. 5 at Rossmoor Country Club, Forsgate Drive, Monroe. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, awards, prizes and the use of golf carts will be included in the $150 fee. Sponsorships, prize donations and promotional giveaways are welcome. All proceeds will benefit the Morganville United Methodist Church.

      The Church of the Master UMC, 110 Salem Hill Road, Howell, will host vacation Bible school for ages 3 through 12. "The Boomerang Express 2009" will take place July 26-30. Lessons and activities will begin at 6 p.m. through 8:25 p.m. An optional dinner for all is offered every day at 5:30 p.m. The finale will be held July 31 at 6:30 p.m. with a barbecue party at 7:30 p.m.

Weather forces new date for golf event
      The New Jersey Chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America will hold its eighth annual golf classic on July 23 at the Cedar Hill Golf and Country Club, 100 Walnut St., Livingston. This is a rescheduled date due to the postponement of the event twice before as a result of weather conditions. Registration and a buffet brunch are scheduled to begin at 1l a.m.
