      George A. Crothers Sr.
            Mr. Crothers, 83, of Howell, died May 25, 2009, at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township. He lived in Old Bridge and Forked River before moving to Howell 10 years ago. Mr. Crothers, a U.S. Navy veteran during World War II, was a manager for Mendon Truck Leasing in Brooklyn until he retired in 1993.

      Howard "Popeye" E. Conk
            Mr. Howard "Popeye" E. Conk, 76, a lifelong resident of Freehold Township, died June 23, 2009 at The Manor in Freehold Township. He worked at John Iron Salvage for over twenty years, retiring in 1984. Mr. Conk was predeceased by his wife, Joan; a son, Anthony; and a grandson, Christopher.

            Mr. Algor, 73, of Toms River, died June 26, 2009, at Van Dyke Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Toms River. He was a lineman first class with Jersey Central Power and Light, Point Pleasant, for 32 years and a member and exchief of the Independent Fire Company, Spring Lake Heights.

            Mr. Donovan, 81, a resident of Manalapan for 47 years, died June 26, 2009, at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township. A veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War, he was a former member of the Gordons Corner Fire Company in Manalapan from 1963 through 1997. Mr. Donovan was a foreman for Brookway Glass Co.

            Mr. Ides, 82, of Freehold, died June 27, 2009, at Montgomery Care Center, Freehold Township. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a salesman for Millhurst Mills, Manalapan. Surviving are a sister, Hana Hochberg; a nephew; four nieces; and four great-nieces.

      Frederick "Fred" A. Eisenmann
            Mr. Eisenmann, 85, of Whiting and formerly of Freehold Township, died June 26, 2009, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. A U.S. Army veteran during World War II, he retired as a manufacturing representative and salesmen for Bill Ballou Inc., Ridgewood, prior to which he was a sales engineer for General Electric. Mr. Eisenmann was predeceased by a son, Dr.

            Mr. Cruz, 86, of Freehold Township, died June 29, 2009, in Charlotte, N.C. He was a groundsman at Freehold Regional High School in Freehold before retiring. Mr. Cruz was predeceased by his wife, Mary Louise, in 1994, and two sisters, Lydia Ramos and Raquel Cruz. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, John J. and Kelly of Charlotte, N.C., and Joseph A.

            Mr. Jones, 45, of Forked River, died June 30, 2009, at home. He had lived most of his life in Freehold before moving to Forked River. Mr. Jones was an auto technician for Quality Auto and Towing of Freehold.

      Ann Chase
            Mrs. Chase, formerly of Freehold died June 29, 2009, in Mountainside. Born in Holmdel, she was the wife of the late Charles W. Chase for 56 years. She was currently a member of Martha Chapter No. 37, Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are many nieces, nephews, and friends. Order of the Eastern Star services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.
