      Charles "Chuck" J. Stiennen Sr.


      Charles “Chuck” J. Stiennen, Sr. of Howell, Passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Care One at Wall. Mr. Stiennen was born in Newark, NJ and had lived in Howell for the past 41 years.

      He was a truck driver for Nappi Trucking in Matawan for thirty years, before retiring in 1993. After retiring, Mr. Stiennen was a driver for Easter Seals in Neptune for five years. He was a parishioner of St. Veronica’s Catholic Church in Howell. Mr. Stiennen was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War and World War II.

      He was predeceased by a son, William Stiennen in 1999. He is survived by his Wife of 48 years, Frances M. Stiennen of Howell, a son Charles Stiennen, Jr of Chandler, AZ. Two daughters, Patricia Stallworth of Jackson and Catherine Skripak of Howell. One Daughter-in-Law Susan Stiennen of Lawrence, MA, nine grandchildren, two great grand children and one sister, Joan Keitel of Iselin, NJ.

      Visiting at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Rd. (Route 524) , Freehold Township on Friday, June 26, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 PM, with his funeral service to follow at 8:30PM at the funeral home. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Charles may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, Church Street Station, P.O. Box 780, New York, NY 10008, and would be appreciated.
