      Items for CentraState timeline sought
            CentraState Healthcare Foundation is constructing a historic timeline of CentraState and is seeking items from the community for the exhibit. The purpose is to tell the complete story of CentraState, from its development stage almost 50 years ago to its beginning as a community hospital in 1971 and its current role today as a comprehensive health care system.

            CentraState Healthcare System will host a Family Fun Night 4-7 p.m. June 26, at the Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 W. Main St., Freehold Township. The goal of the event is to bring families and friends together to enjoy an afternoon of fun and entertainment—close to home.

      Claes Nobel presents honor to local student
            The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) has announced that Freehold Township High School senior Lyle D. Jacobson of Freehold Township has been selected for membership. The announcement was made by NSHSS Founder and Chairman Claes Nobel, a member of the family that established the Nobel prizes.

      POAC will host family picnic, carnival
            POAC (parents of autistic children) will host its annual free family picnic and carnival for those with autism and their families from noon to 4 p.m. June 20 at Georgian Court University, 900 Lakewood Ave., Lakewood. The afternoon will include rides, entertainment and food.

      Used book sale to be held in Freehold
            The American Association of University Women will host a used book sale at the First United Methodist Church, 91 W. Main St., Freehold. A preview sale will be held 3- 8 p.m. June 24. Admission of $7 will be charged that day. No admission will be charged on June 25 and 26 (from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.) and June 27 (from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
