      The Battle of Monmouth Bulldogs U-10 girls soccer team will hold tryouts for the fall season on May 12 in the Robbinsville bubble in Mercer County. Registration will begin at 5 p.m., or prospective players can preregister by emailing bombulldogs@aol.com. Tryouts will start at 5:15 p.m. and run to 6:45 p.m.

      The Jackson Justice Complex in Jackson will host the BOM Bulldogs tryouts on May 18. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. Preregister by emailing bombulldogs@aol.com. Tryouts will run from 5:45-8 p.m.

      There will be open practices prior to the tryouts. Anyone interested in attending the practices prior to the tryouts should send an email to bombulldogs@aol.com for details.

      Lauren Incorvaia, a senior from Manalapan, was recently named the Franklin and Marshall College Female Athlete of the Week. Incorvaia opened the 2009 softball season by going 9-23 (.391) with seven RBIs and eight runs scored. She had three home runs, a triple and two doubles among her nine hits, for a slugging average of 1.000. She helped the Diplomats start their season 6-2. Incorvaia is a 2005 graduate of St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel.
