Brookdale's Hall of Fame softball coach recently won his 700th career game with the Jersey Blues, but his thoughts were not on those 700 victories.

The Cougars went on the road on April 14 and topped the two-time defending champion Rebels, 25-19 and 25-13, to take the early lead in the Shore Conference A North Division public schools race.
