Dinner dance honors rabbi's 25th year at Marlboro synagogue A dinner dance was recently held at Temple Rodeph Torah, Marlboro, in honor of Rabbi Donald Weber's 25th anniversary as the synagogue's leader. Close to 150 guests attended the event including Marlboro Mayor Jon Hornik, who presented Weber with a certificate proclaiming Jan. 31 as Rabbi Donald Weber Day in Marlboro. The evening included a cocktail hour, dinner, dessert, dancing, raffle prizes and guest speakers. Each speaker spoke about the special influence that Weber has had on him or her as well as on the congregation and the community. Speakers were Mark Grainer, Barbara Klein, Rabbi Scott Weiner, David Levy and Noah Weber (one of Weber's three sons). The Dinner Dance Committee was made up of Jill Friedgood, JoEllen Landesman, Jodi Zukoff and Lori Fishkin. |
