Rose-pruning demo April 4 in Eatontown
      The Jersey Shore Rose Society (JSRS), will hold a hands-on rose pruning demonstration 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 4 at Wampum Park, Route 35 south, Eatontown (rain date, April 5). The event is free and open to the public. Attendees should bring gardening gloves and pruners.

Applicants for AAUW scholarships sought
      The Freehold Area American Association of University Women is accepting applications for its Lew Williams and Leila Sulkes scholarships. Female students ages 25 and over who are enrolled in a bachelor degree program and completed at least 60 credits or enrolled in a graduate degree program and completed at least one semester can apply for the $2,000 scholarships.
