Audubon annual Family Night March 11

The Monmouth County Audubon Society will hold its annual Family Night at 7 p.m. March 11 at Trinity Episcopal Church, White Street, Red Bank. The public is welcome to attend the free event, which is geared for children.

The Lizard Guys entertainment troupe will present a program about live animals. The audience will be introduced to each animal and learn about its normal diet, life expectancy, and normal habitat.

A beginners bird walk will be held 9 a.m. March 28 at Turkey Swamp Park, Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Activities are free, and the public is invited. The walk will be led by experienced birders, and participants will learn about binoculars and field guides, and how to spot and identify birds in natural surroundings. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather, and binoculars and a field guide are helpful.
