      The Freehold Elks will host its annual Charity Ball 7 p.m. to midnight Feb. 14. The event will honor special-needs Boy Scout Troop No. 454 and raise money to fund its budget for the benefit of specialneeds children in the Freehold area.

      Howell Recreation and The Stars Thru Squares will host a Barn Dance 8-10:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Echo Lake Pavilion in Howell.
