Help is available for domestic violence victims
Crimes of violence against women and children are too often hidden. Only about 25 percent of violent physical assaults and 20 percent of rapes perpetrated against women by intimate partners are reported to police, causing untold physical and mental injuries to the weakest members of our society.

Manalapan resident supports Ron Paul for president
Awrite-in vote for Ron Paul — with objection (wo) is the only moral and productive vote a citizen can cast in the upcoming presidential election. The right to life, which is the first right, and the life principle (to build the life of the life-giving movement of the essence of life [God)] within the human body and mind) is best adhered to by Ron Paul.

Freehold should stress importance of spaying & neutering
The article about Freehold Borough wanting to restrict the number of pets people own failed to even mention the importance of spaying and neutering ("Limit on Cats, Dogs Proposed in Freehold," News Transcript, Sept. 24). The borough may be missing the point completely when the health officer states that people feeding stray cats is at the root of the problem.
