Mrs. Cowels received her BA in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She was a human interest columnist for the Bergen Record for many years. She is survived by her husband, Clinton J. Cowels, Jr. of Freehold Twp., NJ, 2 Sons: Philip C. Cowels of Camden, NJ and C. Sundiata Cowels of Freehold Twp., NJ, 1 Sister: Bernice Copeland of Ohio and 4 Grandchildren. Service Information: Funeral arrangements were held privately and at the convenience of the family.
