      Harman keeps raising pole vault personal best
      Colonial has scaled 14-0
            Scott Harman is flying high with the aid of a fiberglass pole. The Freehold Borough senior has become one of the top pole-vaulters in the state, having raised his personal best from 12-0 at the start of the season to 14-0.

      C.N.'s Plujimakers sets formidable records
            Colts Neck's girls lacrosse program is in its infancy, just four years old. However, thanks to Aurelie Plujimakers, the Cougars have established some very formidable school records. With 95 goals this year alone and 233 for her career, Plujimakers has set an incredibly high standard for goal scoring for future Cougars to chase after.

      Pats win pair of events at East Coast Relays
            Freehold Township's hurdlers have demonstrated individually what they can do all year. At the May 19 East Coast Relays at Morristown High School, they showed what they can do collectively. Dan Mularz, Bobby Searby and Jeff Kole teamed up to win the 400-meter hurdles relay by more than two seconds, 2:52.11 to runner-up Ridge's 2:54.27.

            Freehold Township's boys and Colts Neck girls completed undefeated championship dual-meet seasons last week. For Joe Lykes' Colts Neck Cougars, it was a familiar result, as they won their seventh straight division title and extended their winning streak to 32.

            With more than 100 youngsters signed up for the Blue Jay 5K, you might say that Jan Caputo got what she wanted. Caputo, the race director for Saturday's Blue Jay 5K Race/Walk at Turkey Swamp Park, was looking for the race to get more people, especially youngsters, to participate in physical activities such as running and walking.
