Newspaper thanked for story of food drive The Samaritan Center wishes to thank the News Transcript for its article by staff writer Kathy Baratta about the Pine Brook School food drive, which benefited the clients we serve ("Food Drive Helps People in Students' Community," March 12, 2008). Briana Druckman and her students deserve a lot of praise for their efforts. This food drive was an exceptional success and filled our shelves. We are very grateful for the generosity of the people at Pine Brook School. The Robertsville School in Marlboro has also been very generous with monthly food collections. These two schools, along with regular food donations from area churches, have helped ensure that we could provide weekly food baskets to all our clients.
If there are other groups in our area who would be interested in conducting a food drive, they may contact Samaritan Center for information by calling us at (732) 446-1142. |
