Springsteen show will benefit Basie theater
      Bruce Springsteen will perform a benefit concert at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank on May 7. Proceeds from "An EveningWith Bruce Springsteen" will benefit the historic Count Basie Theatre and help offset the cost of the renovation and restoration of the theatre that will begin this summer.

      A fundraiser to support educational programs for the students at Joseph J. Catena Elementary School in Freehold Township will be held from 6-11 p.m.April 17 at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Farmingdale. "An Evening on Broadway" will include a four-course dinner, dancing and a gift auction. All are welcome to attend.

      Kate Reilly has been named the 2008 director for the Camp Invention program, scheduled to take place June 24- 27 at Wemrock Brook School, Manalapan.
