      Colts Neck's 26-game win streak snapped by talented Tornadoes
            John Truhan got what he wanted from his Colts Neck High School girls basketball team. "I wanted us to go down swinging and not be passive," the coach of the Cougars said. The Cougars were anything but passive in the March 4 NJSIAA Central Jersey Group IV final against defending champion Trenton Central.

      Eisenhower girls complete perfect season on hardwood
      Generals win county championship
            It's not often that teams get to set school records, but that's exactly what the Eisenhower school's sixth- and seventhgrade girls basketball team did in 2007-08. The Generals, coached by Donald De- Jianne, made school history by completing the first undefeated season. They went 14-0 winning the regular-season division title and the Monmouth County League championship.

      Marlboro's Unger medals at swimming MOC
            Chelsea Unger's goal was clearly set. The Marlboro High School swimmer wanted to qualify for the NJSIAA Meet of Champions (MOC). Having been there as a sophomore, Unger wanted a return engagement with better results. Unger achieved the first step toward her goal at the Monmouth County Championships.             High school rivals will become teammates at the March 19 Shore Basketball Coaches Association's Senior All-Star Game. Freehold Township High School is hosting the annual event that brings together the top senior girls and boys in the Shore Conference in a North-South battle.
