      Sting of fatal accident will be felt for years
            Ilook at their pictures and I cannot imagine their families going on without them. The heartbreak that comes with that thought is just too much. In an instant, they were gone. Two friends who were outside doing what hundreds of other youngsters do every day in our communities. Get your kids outside for some fresh air, we are told as parents.

      Attention must be paid to clear sign of trouble
            It was more than a little disconcerting when Freehold Borough police reported last week that an unknown individual had fired gunshots on Jackson Street near the Rug Mill Towers at about 6 p.m. March 5. According to police, four gunshots were fired in the street directly in front of an apartment building that senior citizens and families with children call home.

      In Manalapan, politics has reached a record low
            In a town where I once lived, themayor, who was a friend of mine, also happened to be gay. Not many people in town cared about that fact, and didn't give him any trouble about it. They were much more interested in where he stood on the issue of mosquito spraying.
