      Howell students are excited to perform hit Broadway musical
            HOWELL - The Broadway classic "West Side Story" is coming to the stage at Howell High School for the first time. The 1957 play with music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim is a modernization of William Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet.

            FREEHOLD- Acquiring funds for the extra projects that make a student's school life richer is possible if you know where to go. Donorschoose.org is helping to make many teachers more productive in the classroom.Among those teachers is Tracey Corsano, a fifth-grade teacher at Freehold Borough's Park Avenue Elementary School.

      School project promotes peace one pin at a time
            MARLBORO - Symbols of peace may come in various shapes and sizes, but the general meaning stays the same among those who are promoting it. A class of seventh grade students at the Marlboro Memorial Middle School, Nolan Road, has developed their own peace symbol - an 11-foot long chain of bobby pins.

      School times stay the same for 2008-09
            FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP - School times in the Freehold Township K-8 School District will remain the same for the coming academic year. Following the recommendations of a committee that examined the issue, Superintendent of Schools William Setaro recommended to the Board of Education on Feb. 12 that school times remain the same for the 2008-09 school year.
