      Scholarships available to conservation majors

      Freehold Soil Conservation District will award three $2,000 scholarships to college students majoring in a conservation related field. The Neal Munch and Mac Clark Scholarships have been awarded for 29 consecutive years honoring their contribution and service to the field of conservation.

      To qualify, all applicants must be residents ofMonmouth orMiddlesex counties; entering their junior or senior year of college by the fall of 2008, majoring in a field related to conservation, including but not limited to: agriculture, environmental education, environmental science, environmental studies, forestry, geology, landscape design, resource management, and soil science.
