School enrollment holding steady in Marlboro district

      MARLBORO- Pupil enrollment for the 2008-09 school year in Marlboro's schools is projected to remain generally flat, according to Assistant Superintendent Marc Gaswirth.       FREEHOLD - A local landmark that has been in a state of disrepair for years may be brought back to life in the near future. The brick building on Bennett Street that was first a school and later housed the town's police department has been vacant for several years since the police moved into new headquarters at the Rug Mill Towers on Jackson Street.

MHS invites MEMS 8th-graders to orientation
      The administration, staff and students of Manalapan High School invite all eighth-grade students from Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School (MEMS) and their parents to a special orientation. The orientation will be held Jan. 17, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at Manalapan High School on Church Lane in Manalapan.
