Temple Beth Ahm welcomes new cantor

Melissa Berman has been named the new cantor of Temple Beth Ahm, Aberdeen. Berman will lead services on each weekend when there is a bar mitzvah or a bat mitzvah. According to a press release, the Board of Trustees endorsed the search committee's recommendation that Berman was the best fit for the community, which included exhibiting a warm, welcoming personality. Berman is a graduate of Duke University where she graduated cum laude, receiving a Bachelor of Arts as a music major.
