      Margaret Cuccia

      Mrs. Cuccia, 85, of Silvermead, Freehold Township, died Dec. 1, 2007, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., she had lived in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn, N.Y., and the Eltingville section of Staten Island, N.Y., before moving to Silvermead in 1982. Mrs. Cuccia was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township. She was a former editor of the Informer, Silvermead's monthly newsletter, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She also enjoyed playing bocce. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, John Cuccia; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lenore and Woody Gasperin of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, Joanne and Glen Mathisen of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Margaret Davis of Freehold; two brothers, Felix Giuca of Howell and James Giuca of Massapequa, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover. Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
