Freehold resident not linked with Kelsey
It seems to me that Freehold Borough Councilman Marc Le Vine has the unique ability of putting his foot in his mouth when he makes public statements. I object strenuously to his linking me in any way with Richard Kelsey ("Mayor Is Taking Action to Aid Freehold Borough Residents," News Transcript, Letters to the Editor, Nov. 20, 2007).

Writer has ties to town, knowledge of issue
Iam writing in response to the letter to the editor in the Nov. 28 News Transcript, "Hurtful Words From Outsider Have Wounded Freehold Borough." Let's set the record straight. Preserving state's landscape: a daunting challenge
New Jersey voters have never been reluctant to spend public funds for the protection and preservation of open space. Over the past half-century, we have been asked 11 times to approve statewide bond issues for open space, farmland and historic preservation. And all 11 times we've done so - to the tune of a total of $4 billion.

Second resident also has an issue with sewer charges
Iwas amazed to read the guest column by Howell resident James J. Gerard in the Nov. 20 edition of the News Transcript ("Mysterious Sewer Charge, Lack of Explanation Irk Resident") because it mirrored my experiences with the New Jersey American Water Company (NJAWC) almost exactly.

      Samaritan Center appreciates Thanksgiving donations
On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the clients of the Samaritan Center Inc., I would like to thank all the wonderfully good-hearted people who gave Thanksgiving baskets and food donations to the center. Your generosity has helped to put food on the tables of our neighbors who are in need.
