This letter is being written to document my, and others, serious objections to portions of proposed Manalapan ordinance 2007-25 that would negatively restrict the building of new homes with basements and the bringing in of needed fill dirt for large residential lots that are now required in the new 4-acre residential zone of Manalapan. Iwould like to comment on the exemplary leadership and initiative displayed by state Assemblyman Mike Panter in the organization of the information session he held for superintendents and law enforcement officials in the 12th District. I never thought it could happen here in America. After all, in England I thought the people were used to a government that didn't care about the little people. More ... My resignation [in October] as chair of the arts council was in protest to the harm caused to volunteers when Mayor Andrew Lucas attempted to lay off the obligations of the administrator on individual volunteers. He also supported criticism that the arts council [remember Township Committeeman Richard Klauber's "you people" comment?] was too independent. More ... Ihave been a loyal volunteer at the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MCSPCA) for many years. I support them with donations and recommend the shelter to people often. The purpose of this letter is to raise awareness, not to criticize the facility. Recently I had a very unfortunate experience at this shelter. More ... It has come to my attention that the Marlboro-Manalapan area has suffered a great loss. Dr. Michael Stark, who served the area as an internist, has died. I just wanted everyone to know the kind of man he was. When I became sick and no doctors could diagnose me, Dr. Stark believed in me more than I believed in myself. More ... |
