Fundraiser to benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital
      Master Sunny Park of Master Park's Black Belt America, 87 South Main St., Marlboro, will host a fund-raiser Nov. 3 to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

Blanchet, a late Marine from New Jersey, CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, has dedicated its new Cardiac Diagnostic Center in his memory. Among the donations made toward a $10 million capital campaign for CentraState's new ambulatory campus was a gift of $1.

Manalapan announces new leaf collection rules
      As per Manalapan Township ordinance, all leaves must now be placed in biodegradable paper bags. Leaves placed in plastic bags will not be picked up from the curb or accepted at the Public Works yard. The biodegradable bags can be purchased at the Public Works Department Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at a cost of $2 for a bundle of five.

Kidnapped missionaries to speak at church
      Monmouth Worship Center, 176 Route 79, Marlboro, will host a special guest speaker at its Nov. 4 morning services at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Jean Devine, and her husband, Mark, have been missionaries to Colombia for 30 years and were recently kidnapped and later released.
