      Residents were spoke to with derision
            Iwould like to respond to Lou Newman's comments on Knob Hill ("Residents Should Be Directing Their Management Firm," Letters to the Editor, News Transcript, Oct. 24). Mr. Newman is apparently a sore loser since he was voted out as board president. Maybe he should look a little harder at his time spent on the board.

      Working for government would pay off property tax obligation
            Pay no property tax. When a government job is open, you work it until your property tax obligation is met. Since do-it-yourself government service requires no salary, no salary taxation, no health insurance, no pension, no sick days, no personal days, no paid holidays and no paid vacation, the cost of this government position is cut in half.
