James A. Pritchett

Mr. Pritchett, 62, of Freehold, died Aug. 15, 2007, at home. Born in Alabama, he had resided in Freehold for the past 37 years. He was a mason and a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Local No. 4, Morristown. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Church of God and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post No. 4374, both of Freehold. Mr. Pritchett was predeceased by a son, Johnny Tyrell Pritchett. Surviving are his wife, Fornetta Skinner Pritchett; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Pritchett of Lakewood and fiancée Michelle Peace, James Pritchett Jr. of Georgia, and Deron and Lisa Pritchett of Jackson; three daughters, Martha Ann Pritchett of Neptune, Jacqueline Hargrove of Freehold and Kimberly Smith of Florida; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and many friends. Funeral services were held at the Church of God, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

Phyllis Bishoff Duggan Remenar

Mrs. Remenar, 85, of Lakewood, died July 18, 2007, after a lengthy illness. Born in Pueblo, Colo., she had lived in Middletown for approximately 30 years and also spent time at her home in Haines City, Fla. She graduated from Leonardo High School, Leonardo section of Middletown, and was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member and active supporter of the Deborah Hospital Foundation, as well as a lifetime member of the Friendly Nighters Women's Club. Mrs. Remenar belonged to a Christian Bible study group and enjoyed dancing and crocheting. She was predeceased by her first husband, Gerald C. Duggan Sr., in 1970. Surviving are her second husband, Joseph Remenar; nine children and their spouses, Frank and Barbara Duggan of Freehold, Sharon and Wilhelm Fischer of Berkeley Heights, Kathleen and Robert Krueger of Fair Haven, Marilyn and Dominic Tarantino of Howell, Gerald and Nancy Duggan of Bayville, Trish and Robert Patten of Middletown, Linda and Ron Hague of Chattanooga, Tenn., Irene and Thomas Cunningham of Old Bridge, and Joseph and Donna Remenar of Lynden, Wash.; four siblings and their spouses, Lois and Raymond Richardson of Whiting, Shirley and George Penfield of Bossier City, La., Frank and Joan Bishoff of Cascade, Va., and Richard and Madeline Bishoff of South Toms River; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Burial took place at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown, with the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, in charge of arrangements. Robert Louis Jaichner

Mr. Jaichner, 72, of Freehold, died Aug. 11, 2007, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Mount Holly, he had lived in Willingboro, Burlington County, before moving to Freehold 36 years ago. Mr. Jaichner was a machine operator for the Anchor Glass Container Corp. in Cliffwood prior to retiring and was the former owner of J&S Office Service in Freehold. He was active in the Freehold Chamber of Commerce and was a Webelos den leader for many years. Mr. Jaichner was predeceased by a nephew, Thomas W. Jaichner. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Susan Ruth Hartenfels Jaichner; his mother, Lorraine G. Jaichner of Kinkora, Burlington County; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C. and Alanna Jaichner of Springfield, John W. and Renee Jaichner of Howell, and William H. and Georgina Jaichner of Paramus; two brothers, Donald J. Jaichner and William R. Jaichner, both of Kinkora; two grandchildren; and a niece. A funeral service was held at Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold. Interment was private.
