      Time for air travelers to demand a bill of rights
            My stepfather has some strong opinions, but he's a good Republican and hardly the type you'd accuse of being a rabble-rouser. Last time I saw him, though, he was ready to lead a national revolution, and his target was the United States airline industry, which he considers the most arrogant, most poorly managed, most consumer-hating business on the planet.

      Mom goes above and beyond the call of duty
            When our boys were little, they used to hold my hand on the way to their sporting events. My presence was not only welcome at their contests, it was crucial. They wanted me at their practices and in the bleachers during their games. No sitting in the car and honking for me. No sirree, my boys wanted me front and center where I could be clearly seen and utilized.

      Team effort turns away waste station
            Chalk up another victory for the Sludge Busters and for the residents of Freehold Township, Freehold Borough and the surrounding area. Western Monmouth County has dodged a big environmental bullet. The Sludge Busters are a group of citizens named for a successful 1994 fight against an objectionable industrial proposal in Freehold Township.
