Auditions
      Kidz-4-Kidz, under the auspices of the Brick Community Players, will hold auditions for "Seussical Jr.," Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Route 88 (Ocean Road), Point Pleasant; and Aug. 12 at 3 p.m. at the Civic Center Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick Township. Children ages 5-18 are welcome to audition. Auditioners should be prepared to sing and dance.

SEED initiative continues through Aug. 12
      The fourth annual Summer Education Enrichment Development (SEED) initiative, hosted by the Jewish Learning Center Community Synagogue of Manalapan, 138 Pinebrook Road, is in the area through Aug. 12. The program is designed to spread Torah knowledge and excitement for Judaism to children and adults through individual and group classes.

Youths may sign up for Vacation Bible School
      Children can "Take the Plunge" with Faith Evangelical Free Church's Vacation Bible School program. The program runs Aug. 13-17 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church, 875 Route 33, Howell, near the Howell-Freehold Township border.

Women's organization plans trip to Cape Cod
      O.R.T. American is planning a trip to Cape Cod, Mass., and The Islands, Oct. 7-11, 2007. Five days and four nights includes breakfasts and dinners every morning and each evening. The cost includes two ferry tours - Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.
