      Abigail Elizabeth

      Zachary Michael

      Detamore

      Abigail Elizabeth, Jacob Thomas and Zachary Michael Detamore, newborn triplets of Howell, died July 30, 2007, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, where they were born. They are survived by their parents, the Rev. Thomas N. and Kristin Detamore of Howell; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Debby Detamore of Old Bridge; and maternal grandparents, Richard and Patrice Capozzi of Fair Lawn. Friends and relatives are invited to attend their memorial service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at the Ardena Baptist Church. A private family burial will follow. Memorial contributions in memory of the triplets may be made to the Ardena Baptist Church, 593 Adelphia Road, Freehold 07728. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.

      Barbara Phyllis Friedman

      Miss Friedman, 64, of North Brunswick, died July 18, 2007, at home. Born in Newark, she resided in California prior to relocating to North Brunswick more than 15 years ago. She was a retired office manager. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Phyllis Friedman of Freehold; a niece; a nephew; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service was at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin section of Woodbridge. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

      Alice T. Policastro Larsen

      Mrs. Larsen, 84, of Hazlet, died July 20, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Deans, she resided in Perth Amboy prior to relocating to Hazlet 15 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, John in 1999; two daughters, Judy Fiala in 2000, and Carol Sue Larsen in 1989; and a brother, Charles Policastro. She is survived by a son-in-law, Dennis Fiala of Hazlet; two sisters, Lillian Savage of Asbury Park, and Dorothy Jensen of Sayreville; a brother, Joseph Policastro of King, N.C.; two sisters-in-law, Helen Policastro of Woodbridge, and Kay Policastro; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Interment was at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.

      Patsy P. Caprioni

      Mr. Caprioni, 83, of Freehold, died July 21, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Red Bank, he had resided in Freehold since 1945. Mr. Caprioni was a sheet-metal engineer at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital from 1948 until his retirement in 1986. He was also an accomplished musician who performed with his band, the Pat Capri Orchestra, along the Jersey Shore. A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps, 3rd Division, 21st Regiment. He participated and was wounded in the assault and capture of Guam, Mariana Islands, in July 1944 and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. He was a life member of the Philip A. Reynolds Marine Detachment of the Marine Corps League, as well as a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local No. 399. Mr. Caprioni was predeceased by his wife, Mildred Mulholland Caprioni, in 2005 and a sister, Mary. Surviving are four sons and two daughters-in-law, Barry and Barbara Caprioni of Wellington, Fla., Bruce Caprioni and Craig Caprioni, both of Freehold, and Patrick and Clemenza Caprioni of Wayne; a brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Rena Caprioni of Matawan; a sister-in-law, Irene McCormick of Freehold; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Marine Corps League services were held July 24. The funeral liturgy was celebrated the next day at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
