      Women's organization plans trip to Cape Cod
            ORT America is planning a trip to Cape Cod, Mass., and the islands Oct. 7-11. The five days and four nights include breakfasts and dinners every morning and each evening, and two ferry tours - Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Prior to the trip's conclusion, the group will stop at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. The trip is open to members and nonmembers of ORT.

      Summer concert series welcomes gospel singers
            The Freehold Center Partnership's summer concert series is under way with its next show on Thursday, July 19 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. The concert is free and will be held in the Hall of Records parking lot on East Main Street. This is the first time that local gospel singers have been included in this exciting roster of entertainers.

      Marlboro Girl Scout earns Gold Award
            The Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting, recognizes the leadership, effort and impact that girls between the ages of 14 and 18 have on their communities. Only about 5 percent of eligible girls take the path toward earning this award, but those who complete the journey change their lives and those around them in significant ways.

      Church to offer summer music program for youths
            First Presbyterian Church of Freehold is offering a summer music camp for young musicians (from 5 years old through sixth grade) July 30 through Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to noon. Children will learn to play hand bells and choir chimes, sing in a choir, and more. For more information contact the church office at (732) 462-0234.
