Last week a pall fell over my house when I opened the newspaper and read about the passing of Dr. Bruce Metzger ("Metzger Recalled as Man Who Cared for Community," News Transcript, June 20). My husband, daughters and I were deeply saddened by the loss of a man we had come to know and love.
