            The Alliance for the Prevention of Drug and Alcohol Abuse is seeking volunteers to paint children's faces, wear a mascot costume and distribute information during Manalapan Day, June 9 from 4-10 p.m. at the Manalapan Recreation Center, Route 522.             The weekly Farmer's Market, hosted by the Freehold Center Partnership (FCP), is returning for a second season on Tuesday, June 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Hall of Records Plaza and will continue every Tuesday through Oct. 23. Free parking is available in the Hall of Records parking lot at East Main Street and the Court Street lot behind CVS.

            Rebecca Lullio of the Morganville section of Marlboro, a 17-year-old senior attending Marlboro High School won the annual MHS "Idol" singing competition. She sang Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This," and Evanescence's "Call Me When You're Sober.
